Two Materials. One Manufacturing Standard.

Both run on the same welding lines, to the same pitch control. The difference is corrosion protection — and it decides which one belongs on your site.

What are you buying mesh for?

Aperture, wire diameter and coating change completely with the job. Find yours below — the specification we normally supply for it is written on the card.

Concrete & civil

Reinforcement mesh for concrete and civil work

Concrete reinforcement wire mesh

Slabs, footings, raft foundations and general RCC — welded fabric that replaces tied bars and takes days off the pour. Commonly specified: 100 × 100 or 150 × 150 mm in 3–4 mm wire.

Weldmesh for cement road construction

Concrete road panels, approach slabs and industrial hardstanding, where the mesh holds shrinkage cracking together across a long pour. Commonly specified: 100 × 100 mm in 3–4 mm MS wire.

Guniting wire mesh

Shotcrete and guniting over slopes, canal linings, tunnels and repair faces — the mesh gives sprayed mortar something to key into. Commonly specified: 25 × 25 to 50 × 50 mm in 1.6–3 mm GI.

Weldmesh for precast wall

Precast compound walls, boundary panels and fencing slabs cast off site. Flatness matters here — a bowed sheet shows up in the finished panel. Commonly specified: 50 × 50 to 100 × 100 mm in 3–4 mm.

Weldmesh for reserve water tank

Underground sumps, overhead tanks and reservoir walls, where reinforcement sits in permanently damp concrete and galvanising earns its cost. Commonly specified: 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm, galvanised.

Reinforcement mesh for drains & culverts

Box drains, culverts, canal lining and precast covers — short runs where cut-to-size sheets save a crew half a day of bar bending. Commonly specified: 50 × 50 to 100 × 100 mm in 3–4 mm.

Building & finishing

Plaster, fireproofing and insulation mesh

Plaster welded wire mesh

Keying coat for thick plaster and stucco, and crack control where masonry meets RCC columns and beams. Commonly specified: 12.5 × 12.5 to 25 × 25 mm in 1.6–2 mm GI.

Fireproofing wire mesh

Reinforcement for spray-applied fireproofing on structural steel, and weldmesh for fireproofing wall build-ups where the render needs a mechanical key. Commonly specified: 12.5 × 12.5 to 25 × 25 mm in GI.

Insulation wire mesh

Holds mineral wool and thermal lagging against boilers, ducting, furnace walls and cold-store panels. Commonly specified: 12.5 × 12.5 to 25 × 25 mm in 1.6–2 mm GI.

Farm, fencing & safety

Poultry, perimeter and machine guarding

Poultry welded wire mesh

Cages, brooder floors, aviaries and run enclosures — fine aperture, galvanised so daily washdown does not rust it out in a season. Commonly specified: 12.5 × 12.5 to 25 × 25 mm in 1.6–2.5 mm GI.

Perimeter, warehouse & solar fencing

Plant boundaries, godown partitions, mezzanine guarding and solar park perimeters — rigid panels that bolt to posts instead of needing tensioning. Commonly specified: 50 × 50 or 50 × 100 mm in 3–4 mm.

Machine guarding & safety

Enclosures around moving equipment, transformer yards and substations. Visibility without access. Commonly specified: 25 × 25 to 50 × 50 mm in 2.5–4 mm, powder coated.

Seven controlled stages, one documented system

Wire is procured from established, reputed steel producers — not the cheapest coil available that week — and every consignment is checked for diameter, tensile grade and surface before it is allowed on the line. Off-spec coil is rejected at the gate, not discovered mid-run. Line and cross wires are then fed to set pitch and resistance-welded at every intersection, with current and pressure set per gauge so the node fuses rather than merely sticking.

  • Wire procurement — sourced from reputed steel producers against a defined specification
  • Raw material intake — diameter, grade and surface verified before production
  • Automatic welding — parameters set per gauge, node fusion not surface tack
  • Pre-galvanised wire — GI mesh is welded from pre-galvanised wire, with coating weight verified on intake
  • Cutting, inspection, packing — checked against the order before anything is banded

A triple quality check system runs through every order — once on incoming wire, once on the line during welding, and once before packing. Nothing reaches the truck that has not passed all three, under a documented ISO 9001 system. Ask for the test data with your dispatch and it travels with the material.

  • Roll-to-roll consistencyBatch two matches batch one. Your fabricator doesn't re-jig between deliveries.
  • In-house, end to endWelding, cutting, finishing and packing under one roof. No job worker in between.
  • Customisation as routineOdd pitch, half-width rolls, panels to a cutting list — quoted normally.
  • Support that answersAsk which gauge carries your load and you get a considered answer — including "you don't need it".

Straight Answers

Weldmesh Buying Questions

What is the actual difference between GI weldmesh and MS weldmesh?

Same welded wire mesh, different corrosion protection. GI weldmesh carries a zinc coating that corrodes in place of the steel underneath, so it survives outdoors without paint. MS weldmesh is plain mild steel — cheaper at the same wire diameter, and the right choice when the mesh is embedded in concrete, kept indoors, or painted after fabrication. If it will sit in rain, humidity or coastal air, specify GI.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Standard sizes held in stock can be supplied in small quantities — a few rolls is fine. Custom mesh sizes, non-standard gauges and special panel dimensions need a production run, so a minimum applies and it varies with the specification. Send your requirement and we will tell you the exact minimum for that item rather than quoting a blanket figure.

How long does delivery take?

Ready-stock sizes are typically dispatched within 24–48 working hours of order confirmation. Custom manufacturing depends on run size and current line loading; the committed date goes in your quotation in writing. Transit time on top depends on distance from Raipur — we give you both numbers separately so you can plan the site date rather than guess it.

Do you supply guniting, fireproofing and insulation wire mesh?

Yes, all three, and they are closer to each other than they look. Guniting wire mesh for shotcrete, slope stabilisation, canal lining and tunnel faces is normally a 25 × 25 mm to 50 × 50 mm opening in 1.6–3 mm GI wire — light enough to pin to the face, open enough for the sprayed mortar to key through. Fireproofing wire mesh reinforces spray-applied fire protection on structural steel, and weldmesh for fireproofing wall build-ups gives the render a mechanical key; that is usually 12.5 × 12.5 mm to 25 × 25 mm in GI. Insulation wire mesh is a retainer rather than a reinforcement — it holds mineral wool and lagging against boilers, ducting, furnace walls and cold-store panels, in the same fine-opening GI range. Tell us the substrate and the working temperature and we will fix the wire diameter and coating.

Which mesh do I need for a reserve water tank or a cement road?

For reserve water tanks, underground sumps and reservoir walls, the reinforcement mesh sits in permanently damp concrete, so we normally steer you to GI rather than plain MS even though MS is cheaper on the day — a 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm opening in 3–4 mm is the usual starting point. For cement road construction, approach slabs and industrial hardstanding, 100 × 100 mm in 3–4 mm is standard, and the mesh is there to hold shrinkage cracking together across a long pour rather than to carry structural load. Send the slab thickness, the pour area and the drawing reference and we will confirm the fabric against it before you order.

Can you manufacture a non-standard mesh size or wire gauge?

Yes — this is normal work here, not an exception. Send the mesh opening, wire diameter, roll or panel dimensions and finish. If it is inside our production envelope we quote it directly; if it is not, we will say so and suggest the nearest specification that performs the same job.

What does weldmesh cost?

Price is driven by wire diameter, mesh opening, GI or MS, and total tonnage — and steel rates move, so any figure quoted without your specification is meaningless. Send mesh size, gauge and quantity and you get a firm rate per roll or per square metre, with weight per roll and freight shown separately. Rates are normally held for 7 days.

Do you handle bulk and project orders?

Yes. Tonnage orders are scheduled as dedicated production runs so the full quantity arrives to a plan rather than trickling in over weeks. For project supply we can align dispatch to your pour or erection schedule, and split deliveries across site locations.

Do you supply outside Chhattisgarh?

Yes — pan-India. We manufacture in Raipur and dispatch across the country, with a dealer network covering 100+ cities for smaller top-up quantities. Central India keeps freight cost reasonable in most directions. Give us the delivery city and freight is quoted as a separate line.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. For genuine project and dealer enquiries we send a physical sample of the mesh size and gauge you are considering, so your team can check the weld and the finish before committing a purchase order. Ask for it with your enquiry.

What quality standards do you manufacture to?

Welded mesh is manufactured with reference to IS 4948 for general-purpose welded wire fabric, and IS 1566 where hard-drawn steel wire fabric for concrete reinforcement is specified. We operate an ISO 9001 quality system, and MM Industries is CRISIL rated. Test certificates covering wire diameter, mesh pitch and weld strength are available with dispatch on request.

What do you need from me to send a quotation?

Four things: mesh opening (e.g. 50 × 50 mm), wire diameter (e.g. 3.0 mm), GI or MS, and quantity with roll or panel size. Delivery city too, for freight. If you only have a drawing or a photo of existing mesh, send that on WhatsApp — we can usually work the specification out from it.

Do you supply guniting wire mesh and shotcrete mesh?

Yes. Guniting wire mesh is normally a 50 × 50 mm opening in 2–3 mm wire, fixed to the face before shotcrete is applied — slope stabilisation, canal and tunnel lining, embankments and pool shells. GI is specified where the mesh stays partly exposed or the site is wet; MS is used where it is fully encased. Tell us the coverage area in square metres and we will quote rolls and dispatch together.

Do you make fireproofing wire mesh and insulation wire mesh?

Yes, both. Fireproofing wire mesh retains spray-applied fire protection on structural steel and forms weldmesh for fireproofing wall build-ups — typically 25 × 25 or 50 × 50 mm in 1–2 mm GI wire, light enough to wrap a section but stiff enough to hold the coating. Insulation wire mesh retains lagging on boilers, ducting, vessels and pipework, usually 25 × 25 mm in 0.7–1.2 mm GI. Both are supplied in rolls cut to your running length.

Can you supply reinforcement mesh for water tanks, precast walls and cement roads?

Yes — these are three of our steadiest lines. Weldmesh for reserve water tank and sump construction is usually 50 × 50 mm in 2.5–3 mm, GI where the tank is below ground or the water is treated. Weldmesh for precast wall panels runs 50 × 50 to 100 × 100 mm in 2.5–4 mm MS, cut to panel size so your yard is not trimming sheets. Weldmesh for cement road construction is normally 100 × 100 or 150 × 150 mm in 3–4 mm MS, supplied in sheets sized to the pour. Send the drawing and we will cut to it.

Do you appoint dealers and distributors?

Yes. We work with 500+ authorised dealers across India and continue to appoint in uncovered territories. Select "Dealer / Distributor enquiry" on the form and our channel team will discuss territory, stocking terms and margins.
